Paying Rent from your phone?

A couple moved here recently from India asking is we accept POP payments for rent – while I wasn’t sure what that meant, they explained how this works. Where they come from, it was common to log into your bank account from your cell phone and either email or text the rent to the landlord on-time. Since this couple had a tech background, they went into more depth than I would’ve liked but told me about a company called cash-edge (http://cashedge.com/products-popmoney.php) that provides POP payment servicing.
